Data Engineer - Software Engineering - Digital Workplace Insights

As a member of our Digital Workplace Analytics team, we look first and foremost for people who are passionate about solving business problems through innovative and very large-scale data analytics.

Prior experience working with large scale distributed systems, big data technology, and high-volume streaming analytics is essential. You'll be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner regularly with your many stakeholders to stay focused on common goals.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* Expertise working with large scale big data systems, architectures and implementation - Splunk, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka etc.
* Experienced with Instrumenting/Logging, and Metrics/Monitoring using tools such as Splunk, Logstash or Fluentd.
* Hands-on experience with data architecture, data modeling, database design
* Working experience with noSQL data platforms (Cassandra), pub/sub messaging (Kafka, AMPS, Qpid etc), Stream processing (Storm, Spark Streaming, etc)
* Must have development experience Python, Ansible
* Experience implementing microservices based architectures, GraphQL or OData preferred
* Experience designing and implementing Container based architectures like Docker, Kubernetes or similar
* Extensive experience with horizontally scalable and highly available system design and implementation, with focus on performance and resiliency
* Experience designing, developing, deploying PaaS and IaaS environments like Cloud Foundry, AWS OR Azure.
* Well versed with Agile practices such as Scrum
* Experience with version control tools and processes (e.g. Git)
* Experience with deployment, CI / CD management tools like Jenkins, Chef or similar
