As a Senior Application Development lead, you will demonstrate very strong programming skills in KDB+/Q, with experience in a similar role in any business line (fixed income, equities or any type of derivatives) and developed significant technical and business expertise. You have been exposed to some of the following: real-time market data, pre-trade analytics, post-trade analytics, order management, algorithmic trading, enterprise data warehouse, FIX protocol, web services. Any cloud experience in AWS is a plus.
This position is for a hands on VP level KDB KDB+/Q developer to join our Data & Analytics team in London. The role requires strong KDB/Q skills and experience developing on the Linux platform. The successful candidate will own and expand strategic market wide Tick data store. He or She will work alongside a team of KDB developers and market data experts, it is expected that this person will be involved in coding/design/reviews etc. He or She will work with local product/desk, QR and tech teams, responsibility also includes working with senior stakeholders from businesses and line of business tech leads.
This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
* BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
* Proven experience with KDB
* Expertise in application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplines
* Advanced knowledge of architecture and design across all systems
* Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
* Knowledge of industry-wide technology trends and best practices
* Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
* Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals
* Passionate about building an innovative culture
