Software Engineering - AI/ML

As an experienced Software Engineer, your mission is to help lead our team of innovators and technologists toward creating next-level solutions that improve the way our business is run. Your deep knowledge of design, analytics, development, coding, testing and application programming will help your team raise their game, meeting your standards, as well as satisfying both business and functional requirements. The Software Engineer role is responsible for
* development and maintenance of the JPMC's AIML Production platforms,
* focusing on workload scheduling and distribution,
* data management and caching,
* language bindings,
* shared services, deployment and diagnostic tools.
* testing/evaluation and certification of vendor products.

Additional duties involve:
* participation in the architectural analysis and feasibility studies for newly on-boarding applications,
* consulting customers on grid computing techniques and best practices.
* secure application design aspects.

This is a highly technical role which requires very good distributed programming expertise with a strong emphasis on API programming and Infrastructure development and established vendor and open source distributed middleware. Ability to learn new technologies quickly in a self-driven manner is critical.
Machine Learning and AI applications utilize high performance compute framework. Prior experience in enterprise grade AI/ML development is highly desirable.

Must have:
* Very strong knowledge and experience in any one of Java, Python
* Solid knowledge of Linux both operationally and as development environment
* Knowledge of scripting languages (shell scripting, Python)
* Familiar with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
* API development experience

Preferred Skills:

Experience with public cloud APIs (AWS, OpenStack etc)

Containerization technologies - Docker, Kubernetes

Cross-platform development skills (Linux, Windows)

Hands-on experience building large-scale software systems

Able to own and drive a project when necessary

Experience with a major financial institution

Knowledge of Jenkins

Messaging Middleware

In-memory distributed cache

University bachelor degree or above with major in Computer Science or related areas

Strong experience working experience in IT industry

Experience with production support of highly visible, mission-critical, and highly available financial applications

Strong documentation ability
